The Progressive Penal Code of Venezuela's Hugo Chavez

London 27.04.05 | Venezuela's Extraordinary Official Gazette No 5.768 published on April 13 2005 contains in Chapter V [of adultery] of the ammended Penal Code the following provision: article 394; the adulterous woman will be jailed between six months and three years. The same punishment shall be applied to its companion.
Article 395 reads: a husband maintaining a concubine in the marital home, or outside it, in notorious manner, shall be imprisonned between three and eighteen months. Marital power is lost if so sentenced. The concubine shall be imprisonned between three months and one year.
